Nalambalam Yatra - Nalambalam is a Group of 4 Temples dedicated to Sree Rama and His 3 Brothers. The Uniqueness is that the Idols of Sree Rama, Bharatha, Lakshmana and Shatrugna were adored and worshiped by Lord Krishna in Dwapara Yugha. Once Dwaraka submerged in Arabian Sea, all the 4 idols of the deities reached the shore near Thrissur together.

Vakkayil Kaimal, a minister with the Ayirur Kovilakam of Ponnani had a dream one night in which some mysterious person appeared before him and told him about the floating idols. The Kaimal being an ardent devotee hastened to the sea shore. There the fishermen who got the idols handed over them to him. Having found the idols of Sree Rama and His Brothers he consecrated them in Thriprayar, Irinjalakuda Koodalmanikaym , Thirumoozhikulam and the Payammel temples respectively.

The Pilgrimage is familiarly called as "Nalambalam Yatra" . Nalambalam Dharshan on a single day in the malayalam month of Karkkidakam ( July - August) l blesses health and wealth. There is rule for Nalambalam Yatra. Devotees to get blessed by Sree Rama at Thriprayar in early morning. Then to proceed towards Koodalmanikyam Bharatha Temple and Usha Pooja in Thirumoozhikkulam Lakshmana Swamy Temple. Payammal Sree Sathrughna Temple has to be dharshend in the evening.
